Robbers loot goods at three shops in Sakhile

Stolen items are cash, cigarettes and airtime of an unspecified amount.

Sakhile was the target on 20 August when three armed robberies took place at three different shops, looting the same goods.

According to Mr Jannie Kasselman of Kasselman Security Services (KSS), the panic button at the first incident at a tuck shop in Mahala Park was pressed at 12.35am.

The owner was not in the shop at the time and the shopkeeper was shot in the leg. Stolen items were cash, cigarettes and airtime of an unspecified amount.

In the second incident at a shop in Mahala Park, the shopkeeper was shot in the leg as well. The time of the robbery could not be established.

At a shop in Ext 7, a house owner was shot in the stomach after he went outside to investigate the sounds coming from the shop.
