Three local students receive awards from Peermont Hotel and Casino group

Hotel group recognises hard work

SECUNDA – Three graduates from the Southern Highveld Development Trust (SHDT) received awards on Friday evening, 16 August, when Peermont hosted its yearly CSI Awards at Emperors Palace.

The well-known hospitality and gaming group, Peermont Hotels, Casinos and Resorts, contributed more than R39.4-million last year to the communities surrounding its business units.

Graceland Casino, Hotel and Country Club forms part of this initiative.

It was the fifth CSI Awards ceremony and the aim was to acknowledge the schools, learners, projects and small businesses that make the Peermont CSI community endeavors a success.

From the Secunda area, Mr Uyanda Mphunga, Ms Siphokazi Mbuweni and Mr Siboniso Sibisi received awards and scholarships from Graceland Hotel, Casino and Country Club.

Uyanda studies electrical engineering while Siphokazi studies accounting and Siboniso studies mining engineering.
