A 22-year-old woman was visiting her neighbour on 16 August last year at about 9.15pm and received a call from the accused, saying he was outside her home.

She went to her house, gave him the charger that he requested and told him she is going back to her neighbour’s house.

The culprit locked the door and began to assault her.

She asked a friend the following day to accompany her to report the incident at the Sakhile Police Station.

Nhapho returned to her house and police arrested him.
