Sakhile Police arrested Mr Sibusiso Vincent Kubheka (27) on 29 August in connection with the death of Mr Funisi Moses Nkambule (38).
According to information at police’s disposal, the suspect confessed to assaulting Mr Nkambule on 28 August at 4pm after he allegedly tried to steal an electric cable at his house.
The community discovered Mr Nkambule’s body, lying in the street. and alerted the police.
The suspect appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on 29 August on a murder charge.
