eMBALENHLE – A 33-year-old man was recently arrested for kidnapping, assault and robbery.
The suspect allegedly forced his victim into his vehicle and drove to a veld next to Old Bracken Mine where he assaulted and threatened to kill him.
According to the police, the suspect told the victim to call his brother and ask him to bring money for him to be released.
The victim phoned his brother and it was arranged that they will meet at a filling station.
When the suspect climbed out of the vehicle and escorted the victim to the ATM, the police arrested him.
He will soon appear in court.
