Motorist dies in head-on collision with bakkie on N17
Several people were on the back of the bakkie at the time of the collision.
TRICHARDT – A motorist died and his passenger sustained moderate injuries when their sedan crashed head-on into a bakkie on the N17 this afternoon, 21 November.
The accident happened at about 1.30pm between the Vlaklaagte turn-off to Isibonelo Mine and Holfontein Farm near the water reservoirs.
Several people were on the back of the bakkie at the time of the collision.
ER24 Ambulance Services transported the passenger with moderate injuries, and six patients with minor injuries to hospital.
Langamed South’s paramedic declared the motorist dead on the scene. They also transported a slightly injured person to hospital.
The police are currently still on the scene.
