WATCH: Black Friday shoppers fill up trolleys at Checkers and Boxer in Ermelo

Residents stood in long queues outside just anxiously waiting to fill their trolleys to the brink.

Stores have been advertising their Black Friday specials all week for the big event and shoppers were ready to take advantage of the deals on 29 November.

Shoppers were queuing up long before the doors of Checkers opened at 7am, to make sure they are some of the lucky ones to get their hands on the specials first.

This year the staff of Checkers were ready to handle the masses with railings put in place to keep the shoppers at bay.

Boxer Superstore opened their doors at 6am and within seconds the store filled up with eager shoppers.

Residents stood in long queues outside just anxiously waiting to fill their trolleys to the brink.

At 8am Boxer liquor opened their doors to the community.

After a long wait residents were happy to be a few of the first to enter the store.
