Yaseen Hassim mixes business with his passion

The name H3 is a joyful reminder of the birth of his three daughters, Humairaa, Hasnaa and Hannah.

H3 Auto in Vry Street, Standerton has been the second home to Mr Yaseen Hassim for a number of years.

Hassim gained experience in the motor industry while working alongside his dad, Abdul, for almost 10 years.

It was in 2005 when Abdul sold his Isuzu-dealership and then the birth of Yaseen’s successful empire began.

He grew up in Bethal and attended Stanwest Secondary School after the family relocated to town and the future beckoned.

“I always had a passion for cars,” he said with a smile.

Achieving two diplomas at Damelin College, respectively in accounting and bookkeeping, business activities began in all earnest.

The name H3 is derived from his three beautiful daughters.

The only son Yusuf, being the eldest sibling, is following in his father’s footsteps. A great lover of Formula 1 racing and a sports car fanatic, he enjoys every moment in the dealership.

A big plus for both father and son is when they get invited to extreme motor shows and events.

“We get to test-drive some of the latest vehicles that are yet to be launched,” Yaseen added.

The reason for this great success lies in an attitude of striving to offer excellent customer service and ‘repeat’ clientele is part of the package.

Some of the customers that frequented his dad’s dealership are now their customers and date back to the late 80s and early 90s.

“There is always a tomorrow in this unique business,” he concluded.
