Cooler temperatures expected from Wednesday
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) also sent out a press release that warns of heavy downpours over the Eastern, Northen and central parts in South Africa from tonight, 5 December.

A cold front is on its way and we have never been more excited.
After the recent heatwave resident can look forward to a drop in temperatures during Wednesday (4 December) and Thursday (5 December).
According to Accuweather.com temperatures should gradually decline from late tonight and early hours of the morning. The lowest temperature predicted for Wednesday is 15˚C and Thursday 10˚C with a few thunderstorms.
Motorists are urged to take extra precaution while driving during thunderstorms/rainy weather.
The South African Weather Service (SAWS) also sent out a press release that warns of heavy downpours over the Eastern, Northen and central parts in South Africa from tonight, 5 December.
“Totally different weather conditions are expected, with much needed rainfall expected from tonight, tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday, as well as a drop in temperatures in places. This is as a result of a surface high pressure system that will push southwest-Indian ocean moisture into the eastern, northern and later the central parts of the country. An upper trough is responsible for drawing tropical moisture from Angola into the central and north-eastern parts of South Africa.”
The press release also mention that updated information in this regard will regularly be available at www.weathersa.co.za as well as via the SA Weather Service Twitter account @SAWeatherServic.
