Vukta and MegaBus in dispute
Vukta confirmed that they stopped the buses to Kinross pending the meeting they will have tomorrow.
HIGHVELD – A dispute between Vukanini Taxi Association (Vukta) and MegaBus over the Kinross routes erupted this morning,28 January.
According to information received, the taxi association is not happy that MegaBus has been given contracts to transport learners to school and workers to their companies of employment.
Vukta confirmed that they stopped the buses to Kinross pending the meeting they will have tomorrow.
The association said they will release a press statement after the meeting with MegaBus and the relevant government departments.
Kinross police said no violence has been reported at this stage and that only intimidation cases were reported.
Police escorted some of the buses to the nearest towns.
