Dispute between Vukta and MegaBus continue
Mr Mahlangu, secretary of Vukta, said the meeting held yesterday between Megabus, Vukta, the police and Department of Transport ended in deadlock as both parties didn’t find a mutual ground.
eMBALENHLE – Vukanini Taxi Association(Vukta) will not allow MegaBus to operate in the area until the dispute over routes is resolved.
The association stopped the buses from operating on Wednesday after they complained that MegaBus is taking over their routes.
The taxi association blocked roads and demanded that the bus company stay out of eMbalenhle.
The buses were escorted by police to a place of safety.

“We will continue to service the community.
“We are not violent and we are not intimidating any one.
“We just want what is right.”
The newspaper is still trying to get hold of MegaBus for comment.
