EVANDER – W/O Piet Groenewald, an always chirpy court orderly at Evander Magistrate’s Court, is fighting cancer.
The cancer, which all though was in remission after a prostate operation, has now attacked his bladder.
This dedicated police officer with 30 years of service at Evander Police Station is also fighting financial burdens due to escalating medical bills.
His friends have decided to fight this battle by his side.
W/O Graham Grimsdell and his wife Eileen from Grimmies Music and Photography sponsored an iJam battery speaker system worth about R3 000, to be raffled out.
Entries close on 13 February and the draw will take place 14 February.

Capt Chris Venter is organising a golf day for W/O Groenewald and Lee Martin who is also battling cancer.
The golf day will be played at Walker Park Golf Club on 29 February.
