Kasselman Security Services (KSS) sent out an alert on Saturday, 31 January about a motorist filling up with petrol and leaving, without paying.
According to KSS, the driver left Autofit Caltex in Standerton in a hurry and drove in the direction of Volksrust/Vrede.
Vrede Police were informed and the vehicle was stopped in Utrecht after a high-speed chase during which some shots were fired.
Stakeholders involved in the arrest were thanked.
