FUDGE RECIPE: Something sweet for the bitter taste Corona has left in our mouths

We all need something sweet to help us through the lockdown even though some do not need an invitation to visit the kitchen.

We all need something sweet to help us through the lockdown even though some of us do not need an invitation to visit the kitchen.

Should you, however, be wondering what you can make, here is a simple fudge recipe:

Natalie Payn’s Microwave Fudge

Ingredients

2 cups of sugar

1 tin of condensed milk

100g of margarine

Method

  • Combine all the ingredients into a large microwave bowl.
  • Grease the lip of the basin with margarine.
  • Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and stir.
  • Microwave for a further 10 minutes on high, stirring after every 2 minutes.
  • Pour mixture into a shallow greased baking tray.
  • Leave for 10 minutes
  • Cut into squares and leave in the fridge to harden.
