To top this off. several employees who are not allowed to operate during the lockdown or have been placed on unpaid leave might be unsure whether their companies have submitted claims at the Unemployed Insurance Fund (UIF) or whether their applications have been processed.

To check the status use the UIF-Covid-19 TERS National Disaster Application System

  • Enter the Captcha number displayed on the screen
  • Enter your UIF Reference Number – If you do not have a reference number, try following the next step anyway
  • Enter your ID number
  • Click on Get Status
