How to submit a story to the Highvelder editorial team

If all else fails, just give us a call at the office or pop in where one of our friendly staffers will direct you to our editorial team.

The Highvelder prides itself on giving you the latest news as it happens, but do you know about a story that we might not be aware of?

Great! Here are a few ways to help you get it published:

Social media

We are very active on our social media platforms, so hit us up on Facebook and send us a message with the specifics of the story.

You can also use our twitter handle @hoevelder to draw our attention to an article or statement of interest.

Don’t be shy to tag us in a photo on your Instagram feed as well, we might just like the photo and perhaps use it in the newspaper.

E-mail

Not one for social media? No problem! Send us an e-mail and we’ll follow-up.

Do you know the journalist you want to cover the story? Send it to them directly:

René Joubert – news@highvelder.co.za

Nikki Maharaj – news1@highvelder.co.za (currently on maternity leave, please forward your queries to René or Wayne)

Wayne van der Walt (editor) – editor@highvelder.co.za
