Dense fog said to be cause of accident at Breyten-Hendrina T-junction

The driver and one of her passenger sustained minor injuries, and were treated and transported to Ermelo Hospital by the Mpumalanga EMS.

A motorist along with three occupants were travelling from Witbank to Breyten for a funeral when they were involved in an accident at the Breyten-Hendrina T-junction on 19 June.

The motorist lost control over her vehicle and it came to a standstill before a train track embankment.

According to information received, the accident occurred just before 9am.

It is understood that dense fog on the road impaired the driver’s vision and she, upon entering the intersection, did not see the stop sign until it was too late.

Fortunately, no other vehicles or pedestrians were involved.

The driver and one of her passenger sustained minor injuries, and were treated and transported to Ermelo Hospital by the Mpumalanga EMS.

Ermelo Towing Services and Breyten Police were also on the scene.
