Vaal River claims the life of 35-year-old man

Community members of Sakhile found the body of man in the Vaal River on Sunday, 2 August and notified the authorities.

According to the Facebook-post of Delta 1 Rescue Diving, the team responded to the call and the body was recovered by means of surface recovery.

Standerton Police and Standerton Pathology Services, as well as Mpumalanga Inland Water Policing and MAVCorp EMS, were at the scene as well.

The Standerton Advertiser was unsuccessful in its attempts on Monday, 3 August to obtain the name of the deceased and whether the family has bee notified.
