Workers protest in front of municipal building about salaries

Their dissatisfaction lies with the annual salary increment not paid into their accounts.

The South African Municipal Workers Union protested on Monday, 3 August in front of the municipal offices by burning a few tyres.

According to the union, they will hand over a memorandum to the municipal manager, Ms Gugu Mhlongo-Ntshangase.

Mr Sibusiso Malinga told the Standerton Advertiser that it was supposed to be 6,25 per cent.
