Gert Sibande College hands over corrugated iron roof sheets to the needy

The purpose of the donation was to aid the needy in the community, who have lost their homes due to fires in Sakhile.

Gert Sibande TVET College’s Skills Academy handed over 80 corrugated iron roof sheets to Lekwa Leaders of Tomorrow on Wednesday, 22 July at 11am.

Lekwa Leaders of Tomorrow is a local non-profit organisation (NPO).

The purpose of the donation was to aid the needy in the community, who have lost their homes due to fires in Sakhile.

According to the college, the organisation approached the executive management of the college.

Mr Sello Tsotetsi, chairman thanked them, saying the township experiences many fires in winter season.

According to Mr Tsotetsi, the corrugated iron roof sheet can build up to a minimum of three homes.
