Fantasy fun in Secunda raises money for animals

Visitors stepped into a world of fantasy at Medieval Fantasy Day held at Lake Umuzi.

Lake Umuzi was transformed into a fantasy kingdom on September 26 when Medieval Fantasy Day Secunda brought knights, fairies, wizards, dragons and mythical creatures to life.

The event combined family entertainment with fundraising for local animal welfare organisations – Khulula Animal Welfare Society (KHAWS), Animal Protection Task Unit (APTU) and Because Dogs & Co.

Visitors enjoyed a variety of activities, including interactive games, market stalls, food vendors, fortune telling, and so much more.

Funds raised through ticket sales contributed towards food, emergency veterinary treatment, sterilisation programmes and rescue operations.

The event offered families a fun-filled day while raising much-needed support for animals in need across the region.
