Locals open their hearts by donating to family in Ermelo

Clothing donation was made to the family on 14 November however, more donation will be made to the family on 11 December.

Community members donated to a family of six whose house burnt down in Ermelo on 13 September.

The Highvelder published an article, “The clothes we had on, is all we have left” on 30 October and community members opened their hearts to the family.

Clothes were donated to the family on 14 November however, more donation will be made to the family on 11 December.

Ms Audrey Maleka, parliamentary member of the ANC, bought three double beds with mattresses as well as blankets for the family.

However, due to the family not having any place to keep the furniture donations will be made as soon as their house has been re-built.

Ms Maleka said: “This is amongst the many efforts that seek to close the social distance between the ANC and the people.”
