According to Mr Mandla Zwane, spokesman of Msukaligwa Municipality, Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue services were dispatched to an accident at the corner Kerk and Buhrmann Street at 7.44am.

Mr Zwane, said: “On arrival a minibus was found on its side and a sedan was in the middle of the crossing.”

Paramedics attended to several injured people sitting and lying on the sidewalks.

He said six people were treated on the scene and transported to nearby hospitals for further medical treatment.

Mr Zwane concluded the incident is currently being investigated.
