TP Stratten Primary School in Evander mourns Grade 3 teacher Tamzin Louw

Ms Louw and her fiancé, Mr Lemarque Rabie, were involved in a serious accident on the N17 on 20 February.

EVANDER – Condolences are streaming in as the community is still shocked from the death of TP Stratten Primary School’s Grade 3 teacher, Ms Tamzin Louw (26).

Ms Louw and her fiancé, Mr Lemarque Rabie, were involved in a serious accident on the N17 on 20 February.

The accident claimed the life of Ms Louw.

Mr Rabie was seriously injured.

A small memorial service was held in Evander for her close family and friends.

TP Stratten also held a small memorial service for her colleagues to pay their final respects.

Fellow teachers released pink balloons in her memory.

Ms Louw was described as a joyful person with a passion for teaching and unconditional love for the children she taught.

“She was always positive and always had a smile on her face,” said Mr Mossie Ourique, principal of TP Stratten Primary School, in the live stream memorial service.

Ms Louw will be laid to rest in her home town in the Western Cape on 4 March.

She leaves behind her mother and father, Ms Audrey and Mr Owen Louw, her older brother, Mr Ulrich Leibrandt, and her sister, Ms Kim Louw.
