Get involve and support organisation to repair potholes in Secunda.
SECUNDA – AfriForum’s Teks branch in Secunda kicked off on Saturday, 6 March, with the first phase of their pothole repair project.
They began at the duck pond in Secunda.
Mr Jan du Plessis, chairman of AfriForum’s Teks branch, said they want to encourage the community to get involved and help them to fill up other potholes in Secunda.
“As management, we will communicate the relevant dates to the public,” said Mr du Plessis.
Mr Bronwen Pretorius, AfriForum’s district coordinator for the Highveld, said they used 1,5 tonnes of tar to fill up potholes.
Mr Pretorius thanked various businesses and people for their contributions in making everything possible.
“These businesses include Seeff, Mass Hire, Dr Cobus Visser, Trichardt Crushers and the community for the delicious sausage rolls and cold drinks.
“Without you, it would not have been possible,” said Mr Pretorius.
