Ermelo Mediclinic now boasts CT-machine as well as a CPI-ceiling suspension X-ray machine

Mr Charles Vilane, hospital manager of Mediclinic Ermelo, was pleased to announce that the new medical equipment is now available and operational at the hospital.

Ermelo Mediclinic boasts two new inclusions in the hospital in the form of a CT-machine as well as a CPI-ceiling suspension X-ray machine.

Mediclinic Ermelo and their supporting partners stated they are committed to continuously improve the quality of health care services provided to Ermelo and surrounding towns.
Mr Charles Vilane, hospital manager of Mediclinic Ermelo, was pleased to announce that the new medical equipment is now available and operational at the hospital.
This was the initiative of Drs van Rensburg and Partners Southern African Inc.
According to Mr Pierre van Schalkwyk, practice manager at Drs van Rensburg and Partners Southern African Inc, the CT-machine has been operational since 10 March.

Mr Van Schalkwyk notably said that CTs can only be claimed from patient’s medical aid if they are referred by a specialist and depending the type of medical scheme.
He said the only exceptions are for the following scans:
• CT of the paranasal sinuses single plane, limited study.
• CT of the renal tract for a stone.
The CPI-ceiling suspension x-ray machine was installed at Ermelo Mediclinic’s X-ray department.
“The old machine was removed on 10 March and the installation of the new machine began afterwards.
“It has been operational since 15 March,” Mr Van Schalkwyk said.
He concluded by saying the buying of this equipment is part of their ongoing strategy to keep abreast with the latest available imaging technology.
