Business chamber established in Standerton

Mr Van Aswegen and Ms Van Deventer are in charge of marketing with the former being the media spokesman.

The first official meeting of the Standerton Business Chamber took place at Appledew Guesthouse on Tuesday, 16 March.

After the voting for nominees was completed, Mr Gary van Aswegen was elected as chairman, Mr Coert Henrico as vice-chairman, Mr Hendrik Dippenaar as treasurer and Ms Rozanne van Deventer as secretary.

Mr Van Aswegen and Ms Van Deventer are in charge of marketing with the former being the media spokesman.

The need for a mandate from big players was discussed.

Mr André Kallel from Highveld Milling decided not to serve on the chamber.

Service delivery, specifically water and sewage, will be handled by the attorney, Mr Andreas Peens, and will include the Morgenzon area.

The legal team will offer advice on the next steps to follow and will be contacted by Messrs van Aswegen and Boysie Naidoo. Registration as a NPO was also on the agenda, as well as membership fees.

A bank account will be opened and the directors with signing rights are Messrs Willem Prinsloo, Naidoo and Dippenaar.

Membership and a constitution will be researched as well.
