VIDEO + GALLERY – Footage of accident at Oak Centre

A motorist allegedly lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the palisades and a traffic light at the Oak Centre in Ermelo on 18 May.

Update: 19 May – 9.49am

The Highvelder obtained footage that shows the moment of impact when a motorist loses control over his vehicle, collides with a traffic light and crashes through the palisades of the Oak Centre.

The motorist sustained only minor injuries.

According to paramedics on the scene, the extent of his injuries included a small laceration on his bottom lip and a bloody nose.

Nonetheless, ER24 transported him to Ermelo Provincial Hospital.
