Update: Traffic delayed as accident scene is cleared-up

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes as the road is closed. 

Update – 11 June 14:18

Emergency services are clearing up the accident scene in which five cars were involved in earlier today.

Traffic is delayed. 

According to a paramedic who was also involved in the accident, smoke from a nearby veld fire caused poor visibility on the road. 

He added that there were no warning signs indicating that fire breaks were being made. 

One vehicle caught alight, but was extinguished by the Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue Services.

Five vehicles collided on the road from Ermelo to Breyten on 11 June.

Msukaligwa Fire and Rescue, ambulance and towing services are on the scene.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes as their might be delays.
