ER24 tends to several accidents in GMM area in past week
A woman in her 40s was left seriously injured on June 28, when her vehicle rolled off the N17 at Trichardt.
HIGHVELD – ER24 ambulance services attended four accidents in the Govan Mbeki municipal area in the last week of June.
Mr Russel Meiring, spokesman for ER24 said three people were injured on June 30 when a bakkie and light motor vehicle collided on the N17 at Leandra.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at noon to find the car upright while the bakkie was on its roof, both on the side of the road.
A man was found inside the bakkie while another man and woman were found outside.
Medics assessed the patients and found that all three had sustained moderate injuries.
They treated the patients and thereafter transported them to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.

Mr Meiring said the ER24 paramedics came across the incident at 11:38, finding the vehicle upright on the railway tracks. A woman was found lying inside the car.
Medics extricated the woman and assessed her, finding that she had sustained serious injuries.
The woman was treated, provided with pain-relief medications, and later transported to Mediclinic Highveld for urgent treatment.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
The last two accidents happened within hours of each other on Saturday, June 26, at the same four-way stop on the R546 at eMbalenhle.
According to Mr Meiring, the first collision was a rear-end between two VW Polos at about 21:45.
A total of seven people were injured in the incident.
ER24 treated and transported two women and three children between the ages of three and 10 to the hospital for minor injuries from a white Polo. Another adult and child from the second
Polo were treated and transported to the hospital for minor injuries by another private service on the scene.
The second collision, a head-on between a Polo and a Kia, happened just after midnight on Sunday morning, June 27.
Mr Meiring said three people were left with moderate injuries in this incident.
ER24 treated and transported the driver of the Polo to the hospital for further care.
The driver of the Kia was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted by the fire department before being treated and transported to the hospital by provincial services.
A woman who was a passenger in the same vehicle was treated and transported by another private service on the scene.
Both law enforcement and the Fire Department were on-scene for investigations at both incidents.
