Cops vaccinate at Secunda Police Station

Col Donald Mdhluli, Mpumalanga police spokesperson, said more than 500 cops got their Johnson & Johnson vaccine in Secunda.

Police came out in numbers to get their Johnson & Johnson vaccination jabs at the Secunda Police Station on July 20 and 21.

Const Busi Mthethwa, eMbalenhle police spokesperson, was the first to receive the vaccine.

She was happy to be vaccinated because in her line of work, she is exposed to the pandemic.

“Police stations are the busiest government institutions, Everyday we meet different people who might be infected we have to serve them. I have to also protect my family,” said Const Mthethwa.

Col Donald Mdhluli, Mpumalanga police spokesperson, said more than 500 cops got their Johnson & Johnson vaccine in Secunda.

“Everyone who is working with us got vaccinated, from police officers, cleaners, police reservists and interns as they are vulnerable to be infected,” said Col- Mdhluli.

He also said police are vaccinated with Johnson and Johnson and they only get one dose not two like Pfizer vaccine.
