Six learners from Ermelo learn leadership skills during Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp

Learners participated in activities that were challenging, tough and which pushed the learners out of their comfort zones.

ERMELO – Ermelo Phoenix Rotary Club sent six learners from three local schools to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) camp in Magoebaskloof over the weekend of August 18–22.

The learners met and interacted with other learners from other parts of the country as well as members of Rotary class throughout the district.

The camp was about the growth of young adults and becoming more confident individuals in all aspects of life.

Learners participated in activities that were challenging, tough and which pushed the learners out of their comfort zones.

Ms Libby Hagemann, treasurer of the Ermelo Phoenix Rotary Club, said the learners all excelled and took on every challenge with enthusiasm and passion.
