Cullinan Police visit Sedibeng Primary School
Learners from the Sedibeng Primary School were overwhelmed by the police presence.
As part of the nationwide Safer School Programme initiative, Cullinan Police paid a visit to the Sedibeng Primary School.
Around 400 learners attended an education session about bullying and substance abuse on Wednesday, February 16.
“Officials of the police in Cullinan, positively execute their mandate of committing themselves to the creation of a safe and secure environment for all people of the country,” said Sgt Connie Moganedi, corporate communication officer for Cullinan Police.
Among the team of stakeholders present were members from the Victim Friendly Room, Youth Desk and Khulisa Social Solutions.
A recovered drug addict spoke to the learners about the dangers of substance abuse.
Another victim promoted the value of education and further discouraged the illegal use of substances and early school dropouts.
“Learners from the Sedibeng Primary School were overwhelmed by the police presence.
“The learners positively and successfully participated in the School Safety Programme during the visit,” Sgt Moganedi concluded.
