Secunda parkrun continues over festive season
Parkruns are free, and those aged four and older can register online to be a member of the South African parkrun family.
Join the parkrun that happens every Saturday and will continue through the festive and New Year period.
The parkrun starts at 08:00 at the Trichardspruit dam on PDP Kruger Street in the green strip next to Sasol Recreational Club and Kruik Gemeente.
Participants can walk, jog, or run the 5km route, volunteer or spectate.

All children under 11 must be within arm’s reach of a parent, guardian or an adult designated by the parents.
In parkrun number 377 on November 4, Rae Clerihew, Kim Foster and Emilia le Rroux were the first three women to finish.
Wege Viljoen, Musa Timothy Mukansi and Willie-Uys Janse van Rensburg were the first three men to finish.

Sophia Myburgh was congratulated for completing her 250th parkrun. She has now joined the Big Green Milestone Club.
Joining that club is Christiaan Visagie after completing his 100th parkrun. Colleen Diergaardt has joined the Red Milestone Club after completing her 50th parkrun. The eldest parkrunner was Leopold Middelberg (83), who completed his 95th parkrun.
These first-timers were welcomed to the parkrun Secunda South Africa family: Daantjie Lesch, Aaron Pieterse, Riekie van Coller, Sue-Ann Janse van Rensburg, Thembelani Dlamini, Blake Klasen, Kaylin Harrison, Samkelisiwe Ngidi, Rami Mathobela, Kaysey Harrison, Evette Harrison and Willem Vollgraaff.
