Lekwa donates to soccer tournament
The Lekwa Local Municipality donated much needed soccer equipment to the Siyathuthuka Soccer Tournament.
The Lekwa Local Municipality has shown support to the community by donating crucial equipment to the Siyathuthuka Soccer Tournament.
MMC for Community Services and Safety, Mapaseka Molaba handed over the equipment to Kwandile Hlabisa.
According to a statement released by the Lekwa Communications Department, Hlabisa is the event organiser of the Siyathuthuka Soccer Tournament that took place on November 30.
The donation, which includes a soccer ball, a trophy and two goal post nets, was made to ensure the success of this highly anticipated tournament.

“The handover of sports equipment is part of the municipality’s ongoing efforts to support sport development within our communities,” explained Lubabalo Majenge, communications officer for the Lekwa Local Municipality.
During the handover, Molaba expressed her commitment to uplifting the youth and promoting recreational activities.
“We believe that sports can play a crucial role in uniting communities and providing positive outcomes for our youth,” she explained.
By supporting events such as the Siyathuthuka tournament, the municipality hopes to inspire more individuals to get involved and contribute to building a strong, vibrant community.
