Secunda police arrest suspected panga man

The police arrested one of two men responsible for several panga attacks in the green strips and house robberies.

The two would attack people, especially schoolchildren walking in the green strips, by threatening them with a knife and a panga and stealing their belongings, like cellphones and cash.

Tshediso Tsosane was arrested on March 27 and appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on March 28, which postponed the case to April 3 and again to April 9.

He has 14 cases – eight of common robbery, four of robbery with a weapon other than a firearm and two of house robbery – against him.
