The body of Njabulo Maqhawe Magubane (22) was positively identified by his family on August 4.

His corpse was found next to a railroad near Val on August 1.

The family saw reports on Facebook and contacted the police.

Magubane’s father travelled from eMbalenhle to the Balfour mortuary where he positively identified the body.

According to the Val police, the family claimed that Magubane travelled to the Ingoma in Val with friends.

According to the deceased’s mother, she had received a call on August 4, detailing that her son had gotten into a fightand ran away after being hit.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
