Secunda author releases powerful new book

Hezekiel Mabena is a certified neuro life coach, public speaker, and award-winning author with a clear vision for the literary world.

Hezekiel Mabena, a passionate author and publisher from Secunda, has released his latest book titled Fear: The Spirit Against Progress. Inspired by his own life journey, the book explores how fear held him back from achieving his dreams, and how he ultimately overcame it.

Mabena is a certified neuro life coach, public speaker, and award-winning author with a clear vision for the literary world. He is the founder of Pondoza Publishers, which he established three years ago.

Since its inception, the company has published nine books and earned the prestigious African Honoree Authors Award in 2022; recognition of its commitment to nurturing emerging writers despite limited financial resources.

“I grew up in eMalahleni, and my life has been inspired by many people, including the late author Linda Mahlangu. My mission is to make reading fun and accessible, and to promote books written in native languages,” said Mabena.

In Fear: The Spirit Against Progress, Mabena candidly shares his personal battle with fear and how it hindered his progress for years. The book has received positive reviews on both national and community radio stations and is already resonating with readers.

Beyond writing, Mabena actively promotes a reading culture through initiatives such as a book club at his church. He is also a professional speaker, master of ceremonies, and the author of four award-winning books.
