SAPS make contribution in Sakhile for Women’s Day
Isifiso Sethu Primary School received a wonderful donation from the SAPS women's and men's network.
The SAPS Women’s and Men’s Network visited Isifiso Sethu Primary School to mark Women’s Day by donating sanitary pads to girls in need.
Girls aged 9 to 12 each received a pack of sanitary pads.
According to Sergeant Johannes Sipho Ndaba, the purpose of the donation was to ensure that learners do not miss school during their menstruation cycles.
“No child should be left behind or be absent from school due to a lack of sanitary pads,” Ndaba said.
The deputy principal thanked the officers for their generosity.
“Due to this contribution, children will no longer have to miss classes and will have the proper tools to move on to secondary school,” the deputy principal said.
A learner delivered a heartfelt speech to express gratitude for SAPS’ support.
During the visit, learners were also educated about bullying and substance abuse. SAPS distributed pamphlets to help them better understand these issues.
