VF Plus in Standerton donates blood

During the drive, Clr Dankus Venter, Clr Wilma Venter, and branch secretary Charmaine Cowley each donated a pint of blood.

The VF Plus Standerton branch hosted a blood drive at the Nederduits Hervormde Church on September 4, with several VF Plus members and community residents supporting the South African National Blood Service (SANBS) by donating blood.

During the drive, Clr Dankus Venter, Clr Wilma Venter, and branch secretary Charmaine Cowley each donated a pint of blood.

“The VF Plus believes that leadership must be demonstrated through action, and donating blood is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to save lives,” said Wilma Venter.

She explained that each unit of blood donated can help up to three people in need. Venter added that blood donation is a practical way to show support and care for fellow citizens.

“By standing alongside the community in this initiative, the VF Plus reaffirms its commitment to service, compassion, and the value of life,” she stated.

The VF Plus encourages all residents who are able to donate blood to participate and help make a real difference.
