eMzinoni SAPS and stakeholders go door-to-door in GBVF campaign

The purpose campaign was to address the issue of GBVF and to distribute pamphlets.

Social Crime Prevention officer and police spokesperson, Sergeant Cynthia Mtshweni, together with stakeholders Pastoral Fraternity, Bethal House of Parliamentary Constituency Office, NGO Philasande, PSASA, CPF and the Department of Safety and Security, went door-to-door in Wellas Ext 5 and Ext 6 in a GBVF campaign.

The purpose of the campaign was to address GBVF and distribute pamphlets. The campaign was graced by the presence of the Govan Mbeki Municipalities chief whip, Clr Mapike Mtsweni, and his office.

“We were requested by the community to focus more on informal settlements to address these problems,” said Mtshweni.

She said about 150 community members were addressed, and 100 pamphlets were handed out.

“All complainants from the community were noted, and follow-up will be made accordingly,” said Mtshweni.
