Athletes enjoy Valentine’s Night Race in Secunda

Tshiamo Lephoto and Chritzel Roberts win 10km.

Tshiamo Lephoto won the Lake Umuzi Marathon Club’s 10km Valentine’s Night Race on February 11. He was first in the open category with a time of 31:06.

Lucas Jani finished second in 33:04 and was the winner in the 40 years and older category, while Macaleni Mahlangu finished third in the open category in 35:37.

Pierre Meyer won the junior category in 39:06, and Thando Zuman finished second in 43:33.

In the 50 years and older category, it was Simon Sibisi who crossed the finish line first in 41:25, while Gideon Radebe was the winner in the 60 years and older category in 42:53.

Chris Tsolo was the fastest walker and finished the race in 01:19;30.

Chritzel Roberts was the first woman to cross the finish line and won the open category in 42:20, while Tamlyn Stevens finished second in 48:37 and Tsholofelo Mahlangu third in 50:07.

Francinah Machete won the 40 years and older category in 01:06:47, while Busisiwe Magqabi won the 50 years and older category in 01:04:13 and Adrie Marx the 60 years and older category in 01:13:29.

Beauty Kubheka won the 70 years and older category in 01:02:39, while Hester Badenhorst was the first walker to cross the finish line in 01:13:42.
