Residents of Davies Court in Secunda are thankful for donations

Davieshof directors have requested that monetary donations be deposited directly into the bank account of Davieshof Sentrum and not through any other organisations.

A heartfelt plea went out to businesses, schools, and the community for donations of food supplies for Davies Court residents. Donations are still coming in, and for that, the residents are extremely grateful.

The residents of Davies Court gathered at the hall on February 22, in the spirit of humility and deep gratitude, to express their thanks to God for the blessings and donations they have received thus far.

For many of the residents, every gesture of kindness is more than just a donation; it is a reminder that they are not forgotten.
It brings hope, comfort, and reassurance that there is still a community that truly cares.

Miems van Schalkwyk blew the ram’s horn to call everyone together and to signal that it was time to express their gratitude.

The sound carried special symbolic meaning. A call for unity, faith, and thanksgiving. Lois Matthysen prayed with deep emotion, thanking our Heavenly Father for opening the hearts of the community.

Appreciation was also expressed to sister Genevive Potgieter for her selfless dedication and ongoing efforts to ensure that every resident is treated with dignity, respect, and love.

Residents thanked businesses and the public for every parcel, every contribution, every prayer, and every kind word.

“We sincerely appreciate it, not only materially, but emotionally and spiritually. You remind our elderly that they are still valued and cherished members of a caring community,” said a resident.

The Ridge Times have learned of organisations that want to help but are asking people to deposit money into their own organisation’s bank account.

Davieshof Sentrum’s directors request that any monetary donations be deposited directly into Davieshof Sentrum’s bank account, not through any other organisations, to ensure the secure handling of the funds.

Donations of money can be made to:
Davieshof Sentrum, Absa Bank, current account 4054209088, and reference is your name and surname.

Donations of non-perishable foods, cleaning detergents and toiletries can still make a meaningful impact.
