Barney Molokwane Street in Trichardt will close for road reconstruction

Residents, motorists, and businesses were told to use alternative routes from March 2, as the main road in Trichardt, Barney Molokwane Street, will be temporarily closed for essential road reconstruction and rehabilitation works.

According to a notice from the Govan Mbeki Municipality, the project will begin on March 2 and will finish on April 3.

The road will be fully closed to traffic during this period to ensure the safety of the public and the construction team.

Access for residents and businesses within the affected area will be maintained where possible, though delays should be expected.

Motorists are urged to use alternative routes, adhere to all temporary road signs and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid congestion.
