Former Standerton vehicle dealership salesperson in court for alleged fraud
Police are urging any customers who may have been affected to come forward and consult the dealership.
Standerton police arrested a former local vehicle dealership salesperson, Precious Magagula (35), in Secunda on August 26 for allegedly defrauding customers.
According to police, Magagula allegedly diverted payments made by clients into her personal bank account instead of the dealership’s official account.
Standerton police spokesperson Sergeant Sipho Ndaba said the dealership dismissed Magagula after receiving numerous complaints from clients who alleged she scammed them.
Police are urging any customers who may have been affected to come forward and consult the dealership.

Magagula appeared in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court on August 27, where she was granted bail of R20 000, and her case was postponed to October 12 for further investigation.
