25th Cullinan Cub Scouts invite children to open day

The event takes place at 10:00 on Saturday, January 28.

The 25th Cullinan Cub Scouts will be having their open day on January 28 at 10:00 at the Scout Hall located on Hardekool Street at the Zonderwater Correctional Services in Cullinan.

All seven to 10-year-old boys and girls are welcome to attend this free event to see what being a Scout is all about.

“Being a cub is exciting. You learn new things, make new friends, protect nature and help people,” said the local members.

Scouts South Africa is currently the biggest youth organisation in the country with more than 190 000 children, youth and adults being part of the movement.

By becoming a Scout you will learn how to be a leader, how to work efficiently in a team, self-motivation, perseverance and valuable life skills.

The late Nelson Mandela once said, “The importance of a high moral code, which is at the foundation of the Scout movement, cannot be stressed too highly.”
