Pipeline collapses in Standerton

Notice was given on January 25 that there was another water pipeline collapse at the Coligny Street project.

When the Lekwa Municipality pumped water out to repair the pipe, water supply to Ward 10 was affected.

Lekwa apologised for the inconvenience caused.

Two water leaks in Coligny Street were repaired and construction was done to upgrade the sewage line.

Lekwa indicated that the risk existed for the pipeline to collapse, which happened on January 25.
