Delmas’ Red Star Raceway hosts world-class event

Thrilling action during round two of the Classic TT series with Michael Dunlop in front and AJ Venter short on his heels.

Red Star Raceway (RSR) outside Delmas in conjunction with Classic Super Racing Association (CSRA), hosted a thrilling and action-packed event.

International and local racers burnt rubber on the tracks on February 4 during the second round of the Classic TT series.

Great motorbike racing, a classic car show, a classic bike show-off and high-speed drifting on the skid pad entertained the spectators from all over the country and abroad.

Spectators watched excellent world-class racing with Michael Dunlop, Howard Selby, Robert Burns, Adrian McCarthy, Phil Atkinson, Alan Duffs, Steve Perrish and many more during the second round of the Classic TT series.

Michael Dunlop managed to win the second heat in the Classic TT after he also took number one in round one at the Phakisa Freeway racetrack in Welkom at the end of January.

In second was AJ Venter on his Lekka Racing Shop Suzuki and Ian Smith came third. RSR’s first club race championships for the year kicked off on the same day. Classes included RSR beginners and core 600 / 1000, RSR premier 600 / 1000 and more.
