Curro helps Evander Hospital for Mandela Day
The children each received a gift pack courtesy of Curro Secunda Preschool.
The parents, teachers, pupils and volunteers of Curro Secunda Preschool participated in Curro’s national project for Mandela Day.
The Curro Secunda Preschool principal and other schools visited Evander Hospital on July 18 and handed over 59 blankets for children.
Curro’s national project, Hip to be Square, challenged people to knit or crochet 20cm x 20cm squares. Then they were stitched together to make blankets.
The school also prepared a small gift for each child comprising a picture to colour in, crayons and sweets.
The CEO of Evander Hospital, Madala Ndlovu, thanked the school for the kind gesture.
