Gunmen target workers on foot in Cullinan

Two armed men robbed workers on their way to work on July 18 in Rayton.

The robbers were spotted walking in Spoorweg Street from the old Post Office building shortly after 04:00 that morning.

According to reports, a few people walking to work between 05:00 and 06:00 were robbed at gunpoint of their cellphones and money.

Someone also fired a shot near the railway line.

“Please warn your employees who walk to work early in the morning or late at night to be vigilant,” said a source close to the investigation.”

He said people should not approach the gunmen but should rather immediately contact the police on 012 734 6054.
